City Sight stock a wide range of spectacle frames to suit any budget.
Our core range of frames start at £20, with designer brands starting from £120. Designer brands currently stocked include RayBan, Ralph, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Radley, Farah and Boss.
We also stock eco-friendly ranges, Eco and Botaniq. These frames are made from recycled materials including plastic bottles removed from the sea.
For children’s glasses, we have ranges in a variety of colours from Hi! with 180° hinges, Zips and Rock Star.
If you require spectacles, you will be issued with a prescription that can be used in our dispensing clinic, where we have a wide range of spectacles at competitive prices with in-house offers.
Our lenses come from leading manufacturers, including Essilor, Zeiss, Hoya, Seiko and Kodak. All come with a minimum of a hard coat to reduce the risk of scratching. Most have the option of transitions which enable the lens to darken in the sun and offer full UV protection.
There are also a range of anti-reflection coatings to ease eye strain, including coatings which protect the eyes from blue light, which are excellent for digital screen use.
The latest addition to the dispensary is the Essilor Visioffice. This high-tech piece of equipment equips us to take extra, precision measurements which enables us to order lenses that are individually tailored to your eyes, physiology and posture to give the best possible visual performance of your glasses (available on selected Essilor products).

If you are entitled to an NHS spectacle voucher, we have a selection of frames and lenses that can be supplied at no cost to you (subject to the conditions of your voucher).
During term time, you will be dispensed by one of our third year Optometry students under the supervision of a qualified Dispensing Optician.
As a thank you, we will give you 20% off the total cost of your choice of spectacles.
